Last week we welcomed two representatives from Yatima Outreach Kenya, a Nairobi based organisation we had started talking to before any definite plans about construction of the school were even made.
They now finally came to visit PWA High for the first time! We had the opportunity to show them around the school compound where we took plenty of pictures and chatted to increase the understanding of the PWA mission and vision.
Over tea and biscuits we then had a more in depth conversation where we shared ideas about both parties’ work, the Yatima scholarship program, and other topics like the students’ need for vocational training.
Sharing all of this and meeting with them has been great and truly encouraging. We are very humbled about our visitor’s words: “You are doing very good work, and have started big!”
We hope that through partnerships like this we can reach vulnerable students from all over the country to benefit from our mission.
